3 State Parks Worth Visiting!

Three state parks near Unorganized Territory #1 Cabin Rentals that you need to check out:

1. Tettegouche State Park: Known for its stunning waterfalls, rugged cliffs, and scenic overlooks of Lake Superior, Tettegouche State Park offers hiking trails, rock climbing opportunities, and spectacular views. The first time I found shovel point, I was marveled by its beauty. Left speechless. It was one of the most beautiful sights and sounds I have ever heard. Do yourself a favor and pack a picnic and take in this incredible spot for a while. You will leave here refreshed and wanting to come back for more! You could also, take an early morning hike and catch the sunrise!

2. Split Rock Lighthouse State Park : This park is famous for its historic lighthouse that sits up on a cliff overlooking Lake Superior. Visitors can tour the lighthouse, hike along the lakeshore, or follow the river up for more remote views and waterfalls. Check out The MN DNR website for more information for visitors. I personally love the Split Rock River Loop! Check out full trial map here!

3. George H. Crosby Manitou State Park: Located inland and about 8 miles from our cabins, this park offers secluded wilderness experiences with hiking trails winding through dense forest. It is a quieter state park and usually the only others you will see are backpackers! The hike around Benson Lake is a very easy hike and is great for beginners and is mainly boardwalk all the way around.  I was amazed when I stumbled on a grove of fiddlehead! If you are looking for a more challenging hike, you may love the Humpback trail and the Manitou River Trail has breathtaking waterfalls! Check out MN DNR website for more park information!
