You could also, take an early morning hike and catch the sunrise!
2. Split Rock Lighthouse State Park : This park is famous for its historic lighthouse that sits up on a cliff overlooking Lake Superior. 3. George H. Crosby Manitou State Park: Located inland and about 8 miles from our cabins, this park offers secluded wilderness experiences with hiking trails winding through dense forest. It is a quieter state park and usually the only others you will see are backpackers! The hike around Benson Lake is a very easy hike and is great for beginners and is mainly boardwalk all the way around. I was amazed when I stumbled on a grove of fiddlehead! If you are looking for a more challenging hike, you may love the Humpback trail and the Manitou River Trail has breathtaking waterfalls! Check out MN DNR website for more park information!
